It's A Natural Cause千惚之橘千惚之橘

Every "tangerine" is originally a stable, concrete, and independent existence in the material world, while the term "trance" (Hu) points to a subtle, unpredictable, and ambiguous force that generates and drives their myriad forms. This exhibition, titled It's a natural cause, explores the drifting state of matter under natural laws. It is precisely under the influence of this ever-changing "trance" that a deep ontological ambiguity always lurks beneath a clear exterior—traces carved by recurrent natural cycles and perishing.

Zhou Tianyu, born in Shanghai in 2000, graduated from the Slade School of Fine Art (UCL) and the University of Oxford.

As a highly promising millennial artist, Zhou's painting wanders along the edge of figuration and abstraction. In her works, obscure biological and geometric forms squeeze, fall, or suspend in a weightless space. With delicate and restrained oil colors, she captures the subtle moments between certainty and uncertainty, constructing a psychological field for the viewer that is both familiar and full of tension.

每一个“橘子”本是物质世界中稳定、具象的独立存在，而“惚”所指向的那种微妙难测、模糊不清的力量，生成并驱动着它们的千种形态。本次展览以《千惚之橘》为题，探讨了物质在自然法则下的游离状态。正是在这股瞬息万变的“惚”的作用下，清晰的外表下始终潜伏着深层的本体性模糊——那是反复的自然循环与消亡所刻下的痕迹。

周恬语，2000年出生于中国上海，先后毕业于伦敦大学学院斯莱德美术学院及牛津大学纯艺专业。

作为极具潜力的千禧一代艺术家，周恬语的绘画游走于具象与抽象的边缘。她的画面中，隐晦的生物形态与几何体在失重的空间中相互挤压、坠落或悬浮。她以细腻而克制的油彩，捕捉着事物在确定与不确定之间的微妙瞬间，为观者构建了一个既熟悉又充满心理张力的心理学场域。
